We worked closely with the Council's existing brand identity to make sure the maps felt immediately recognisable as theirs. No reinventing the wheel, just smart graphic design that built on what was already there.

The result is a clean, consistent set of maps that are high quality enough to zoom right in and still read clearly, capturing every public street across the district without turning into a confusing wall of lines and labels.

A big part of making these maps genuinely useful was designing a clear, easy-to-read legend. Highways, landmarks, hospitals, parks, community facilities, all laid out so residents can find what they need at a glance.

No graphic design degree required to understand it. That was the whole point.

One of the things we're most proud of here is the adaptability. The finished maps aren't a one-off, they're a reusable asset Timaru District Council can pull out whenever they need to communicate something to the district. Good graphic design should keep working for you long after the project wraps up.
