We were thrilled when our long-time business friend, Maria, the owner of Jakar Gardens, approached us for a website redesign. Jakar Gardens is a stunning indoor/outdoor event venue. Maria was looking to attract a new generation of younger couples for weddings and parents of young kids for birthday parties.

With a website needing modernisation and a clearer, more intuitive user experience, she turned to us to help her achieve her goals.
We went to work, finding new ways to present Maria's information and make it look beautiful. The gardens at Jakar Gardens are truly magical, and we wanted the website to have a storybook look that would complement them. We also had one non-negotiable requirement: the site needed to feature Maria's signature colours, purple and green.

The end result was a beautiful, modern, and user-friendly website that truly showcases the magic of Jakar Gardens. It's now easier than ever for potential clients to explore the venue, view photos, and book events online.

After 3 Tuition, a local tutoring service, approached us with the goal of getting their business online. Their main objective was to increase bookings and establish themselves as a trustworthy and reputable brand in the community. We started the project by creating a new brand identity for After 3, including a new logo and branding elements such as colors, typography, and motifs/assets that could be applied across all brand touchpoints, both online and offline.

Once the branding was in place, we focused on creating a simple and informative website that would showcase our client Mark's tutoring services and make it easy for potential clients to book and get in touch. We designed a one-page website that was easy to navigate and featured all the key information that potential clients needed to know about After 3 Tuition.

With the new website in place, we're confident that After 3 Tuition will be able to attract more clients and establish themselves as a leading tutoring service in the local community.

Oh boy, do we have a treat for you! We recently worked on a project for Replenish Cafe, the home of all things delicious and nutritious. Owned by the ultimate foodie couple Malcolm and Mel, Replenish needed a killer web presence to showcase their amazing menu, catering options and incredible backstory.

We put our thinking caps on and came up with a bespoke design that included custom illustrations, typography and a fresh brand colour palette. We even flexed our coding muscles to make sure the site was extra user-friendly and mobile-ready for foodies on the go. And let's not forget the SEO - we made sure Replenish stood out from the competition and attracted hungry customers like bees to honey.

Transforming the Little Red Fox:

The Little Red Fox, a clothing shop in Fairlie, approached us to redesign their website on the Shopify ecommerce platform. The goal was to give the site a fresh look, with new colors and typography, and to improve the overall user experience for their customers. However, as we dug into the code, we found that there were significant challenges that needed to be addressed.

Some sections of the code were missing or mistyped, causing them to break and preventing customers from accessing key features. This presented a significant challenge for our team, but we were up to the task.

After several rounds of testing and iteration, we were able to fix the broken pieces and create a more intuitive shopping and product loading experience. The result was a significant before-and-after transformation that delighted our client and their customers alike.

In addition to the design and coding improvements, we also made significant improvements to their SEO and integrated new payment gateways like Afterpay and Apple Pay, making it easier for customers to complete their purchases and boosting sales for The Little Red Fox.

A Fresh Look for a Farm-Fresh Brand: Hunter Hills Organics

Hunter Hills Organics, powered by our one-of-a-kind client David the Farmer, is a South Canterbury farm that specialises in farm-made products such as wool jerseys, rugs and bedding, organic meat boxes, and a unique farm stay experience. When David approached us, he needed a website that reflected the quality of his products and spoke to an up-market audience with disposable income to spend.

Our team got to work and tidied up his shopping user experience, making it easier for customers to find and purchase the products they were interested in. We also gave his wider branding a facelift, working from a simple logo to create a new identity that included colours, typefaces, and way-finding illustrations.

One of the highlights of this project was the opportunity to photograph David's beautiful wool jerseys. We captured breathtaking detail shots that showcase the quality and fuzziness of his products, helping to communicate the unique value proposition of Hunter Hills Organics.

Makeover Time:
The New and Improved Scooch Marketing

In mid 2022, we decided it was time for a makeover. We're talking about a complete rebrand, a new name, and a fresh set of brand values to live by. And of course, as a marketing agency, we couldn't leave our website out of the fun.

We wanted a site that reflected our new identity and drew in the type of clients we love working with - the creative and the fun-loving. So, we put our heads together and got to work.

With the help of our amazing copywriter, Marissa from Dirty Copy, we gave our website copy a major upgrade. And because we're total SEO nerds, we took the time to optimize everything to the max.

But let's be real, the real fun came when we got to add all the little details that make our website unique. We're talking bespoke illustrations, intuitive user experience design, and elevated code plug-ins - all with a touch of personality, of course. To capture it all, we brought in the talented photographer Ashlee Adam to snap some killer photos of our team and work.

The end result? A website that truly reflects who we are as a team and a company. It's bold, it's creative, and it's a whole lot of fun.
